  • With hundreds of millions of people using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and a host of other social media sites, more than a few companies have launched in the United turbulent social media marketing, trying to draw the attention of many consumers themselves. It is a problem, though. Online savvy people are not just consumers. Are common. Tamar Weinberg, a social media guru who knows the dynamics of online communities, and his book "The new rules of the Community: Social Marketing on the Web", clearly shows his extensive knowledge about the subject. The book examines, how companies can use social media tools as a promotion and vital communications tool. In particular, the focus of this title truly targeted online community, research, and become an active member and help to these communities as part of a campaign of social media marketing. Sounds like a good idea. "The new EU rules," begins with an introduction to useful social media marketing, having regard to the various types of media. From the outset, the points Weinberg social media marketing is most successful with the goals, such as bring people to your site, the guide relevant links to your site, make consumer brand is well known and active dialogue. These results can then lead to the sale, not vice versa. After an introduction to discussing the topic of the importance of the vineyard setting the objectives and strategy: "If you jump into the game without having your environment and space known, the consequences can be devastating" (p. 19). How true. Have a plan, set realistic goals, and understand, please, please, that this is a long term commitment. Weinberg, as repeatedly pointed out, Social Media Marketing takes time. Do not expect outstanding results in the night (although it can happen). Next Weinberg understands the importance of listening, communication, and engagement with social media. The main part of the book, but it shows the different types of media, and how each of them address. Excellent chapters cover blogs, microblogging (ahem, Twitter), social networking, information, social networking, social bookmarking, Social News and Social Photography / video / podcasting. Finally, a summary chapter pulls everything together and offers some ideas for your marketing campaign social media. I think I can summarize my thoughts on "new rules" in one word: "wow." The book is a comprehensive, easy to read, interesting and stimulating. I recommend this guide every means of social communication junkies in expanding their business efforts "in marketing in the world of social media interest – with success.

  • Tamar Weinberg wrote a great overview of all things related to means of social communication. What I particularly helpful, the sites were recommended. The book really expanded my understanding and appreciation of the means of social communication. Add this book to the library.

    Although I skimmed the first chapter of the book, the rest has proven to be useful to gain a deeper understanding of the large number of Web-2. 0-technologies and their networking with each other. I think this is an excellent read for those who desire a deeper understanding of the use of social media for marketing, advocacy and general public relations needs.

  • Social Media is much broader than MySpace or Facebook, and Tamar is well aware of this. Throughout the book, pens, more or less all aspects of marketing in the social network. Each chapter also concrete examples that illustrate the concepts and ideas to implement their projects. A must-read if you try to understand the phenomenon of social media.

  • Essential reading for anyone trying to market online! Do you think that this book is essential reading for anyone trying to market anything online. The world of marketing had changed completely, and even marketing of my books, which are only 5 years out of date, it seems ridiculous. This book covers all the basics and even a few new things that I know very little (Digg What the hell is it?). In fact, consider the purchase of this product in the market felt everywhere, especially because now a day is almost impossible for any market, without an online platform. I'm an author myself (I write books), and almost all of my sales are generated directly or indirectly, via the Internet. Much of the information contained in this book was new to me, and I consider myself a fair amount of Internet have. Just a note, though – I think that people who are really marketing professionals might think that the book is not advanced enough for them.
